So we’re going to just jump right into the opening verses of this great adventure that we are starting today that we are calling Daily Acts.

Love Is… – Not Irritable
Sunday Jan 24, 2021
Sunday Jan 24, 2021
Today we wrap up a four-part series on what “Love is…”
Let’s be real—life is full of irritants and no one is immune. We often say, “Everybody’s Welcome,” and that’s true; it’s also true that everybody is irritating! But Paul says, “Love is not irritable.” People are irritable but love is not. Becoming a disciple of Jesus gives you the power to love people the way Jesus loved people.

Love is… Envy Free
Sunday Jan 17, 2021
Sunday Jan 17, 2021
No one can get rid of envy by trying really, really hard not to envy. That is never the way of spiritual transformation. Envy can only be gotten rid of as it is replaced with the power of love. When love is present, there's just not room for envy to grow.

Sunday Jan 10, 2021
The single purpose of your life is to become a thoroughly loving person rooted in the care of God through our friend Jesus--and the purpose of our church is to be a community of love. In this series, we are renewing our commitment to make love our number one thing in this New Year--to be what we are known for, what we talk the most about, and what we value above all.

Love is…Greater Than Everything
Sunday Jan 03, 2021
Sunday Jan 03, 2021
Over and over the whole story of the Bible comes down to one word: love. Life is about love. Our church is about love. Our personal and corporate existence is about love. Spiritual maturity is measured by love. The gauge of a life well-lived is love.
So, today as we start out this New Year, we are beginning a study on the most important topic in the world: Love!

The Birth of Joy – A Time For Joy
Sunday Dec 13, 2020
Sunday Dec 13, 2020
With all that’s happened this year due to COVID, joy may be the last thing you are feeling right now. Where is joy to be found in a world-wide pandemic? How can we have joy amidst layoffs and lockdowns? You may be wondering, “Is joy even possible this Christmas?” Luke answers that question for us: Joy is not found in the absence of problems. Joy is found in the presence of Jesus. That is the message of the manger. Joy has been born. Joy is here. Joy is alive. Joy is found in the person of Jesus.

The Birth of Joy – The Centrality of Joy
Sunday Dec 06, 2020
Sunday Dec 06, 2020
As we come into the Christmas season this year, there is perhaps as much uncertainty and unrest as there ever has been since the very first Christmas. And yet into that dark and oppressive world, a joy was given birth unlike any the world has ever known.
The joy that Jesus came to bring is from outside this world. It is the very joy that Jesus himself has in God the Father—which he has had from all eternity and will have forever. There is no greater joy than the joy that God has in God, because God is the greatest object of joy, and God has the greatest powers to enjoy.

One day Peter and John were going up to the temple at the hour of prayer at three o’clock in the afternoon. (Acts 3:1)
When it was evening on that day, the first day of the week, and the doors of the house where the disciples had met were locked for fear of the Jews. (John 20:19 NRS)
Radical Difference Makers: They hang out with people who don’t know Jesus. There is no impact without contact.
Radical Difference Makers: They are intentional about the mission.

The Separation of Church and Hate – Unity
Sunday Nov 08, 2020
Sunday Nov 08, 2020
- Everybody’s welcome provides a platform of civility where we are quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry.
- Nobody’s perfect creates a posture of humility because all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
- Through Jesus, anything’s possible promotes a plea for unity because people are won to Christ when they see His disciples are one in Christ.“Father the hour has come. Glorify your Son… (John 17:1)

The Parable of the Pharisee and the Tax Collector
9 To some who were confident of their own righteousness and looked down on everyone else, Jesus told this parable: 10 “Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. 11 The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other people—robbers, evildoers, adulterers—or even like this tax collector. 12 I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.’
13 “But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’
14 “I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”
